(By One devotee)
The ‘Avadutha’ the ‘Miraculous Saint’ , our ‘Mauli’,’Shree Gajanan Maharaj (Shegaon)’ showered his bountiful blessings, when Smt.Vidya Tai Padwal started the journey of Parayan and Pravachan in Bay area. Seemed as if ‘Maharaj’ was ‘upasthita’ everywhere and gave us all numerous, divine experiences. ”Shree Gajanan Vijay Granth” is a no ordinary Pothi. It has the power you never know until you recite it, read it, study it, master it and more of all contemplate it. Vidya Tai brought all positive energies in her bag. Her auspicious MAHARAJ’ idol left every devotee speechless. Maharaj’s speaking eyes, his presence, his unconditional love was heartfelt. Vidya Tai ,a noble and an ardent devotee who recited the whole pothi without referring it in her Unique style of katha-kathan was beyond words. Many devotees were found in tears when Vidya Tai’s tears were rolling down her cheeks reciting the Pothi.
The devotional ambience, teachings of Shree Gajanan Maharaj through the chapters kept unfolding many layers of life. It wasn’t an ordinary day when lot of devotees physically and numerous online, attended her Parayan and Pravachan sessions. Fantastic four days with Vidya Tai in San Francisco were unforgettable where she never missed any moment relating to MAHARAJ life and his teachings.
Vidya Tai possess abundant knowledge about Shri Maharaj and HIS teachings, so the discussion session with Vidya Tai, answered questions from devotees and they left with sense of satisfaction and knowledge.
Bay area devotees pay sincere gratitude to dear Vidya Tai for visiting us, imparting those stories and meanings from Shree Vijay Granth, which was untouched and unheard, too. Vidya Tai left an impeccable impact on all the devotees of the Shree Gajanan Maharaj’s world. Her noble Sewa, enlightening miracles of Mauli adding interesting short stories connected to his life is imprinted in our minds forever.
Special Jai Gajanan (Thanks) to our hosts Khoche Family (San Jose) and Rupali & Jagdish Deshmukh (Fremont)
I would like to repeat words from Gayatri Agarkar’s post for Seattle Parayan details
“Mark my words, you will be a different person when you step out of the parayan, thanking Vidya Tai and full of praise for her and more and more devoted to Maharaj. Jai Gajanan!!”
Every Journey in life is full of mixed experiences (Sweet, Sour and bitter), so as this journey of Parayan/Pravachan also in Bay Area.
Gan Gan Ganat Bote Gan Gan Ganat Bote Gan Gan Ganat Bote
Meaning: No being is separated from God; God exists in all and all exist in God. Then…Why do we separate each other when Maharaj never separated us? Unfortunately, many devotees weren’t able to attend these priceless events, organized specially for the Maharaj’s devotees in Bay Area. A painful incident occurred when these events were named and labeled as “Advertisement” by some persons/group in Bay area. This led to demotivating devotees for physically attending the event. But Maharaj is very kind and provided “Online” opportunity for attending the events. Many local devotees silently attended events expressing their helplessness.
Do we still need to go over the Pothi and see what Maharaj wanted to teach us?
What are his sayings ? For our review, sharing first two rules enforced by Shri Maharaj during establishment of Math
पैसा साचु देऊ नका (Do not amass wealth)
यात्रा थांबु देऊ नका (Don not stop the influx of devotees)
Jai Gajanan
Seattle Mukhotgat Parayan Details(By Gayatri Agarkar)
Jai Gajanan!! Whoever has read the Gajanan Vijay Granth knows that how Shree Dasganu Maharaj has beautifully depicted and accommodated all the major events and the life and teachings of Gajanan Maharaj.
So when the pothi has the major facts and known chamatkars of our Avliya Baba, it is bound to be a big book and when an ardent devotee knows it by-heart, it is nothing less than a miracle (chamatkar) itself.
We at Seattle (08-May-2016, Mother's day, Sunday)were fortunate enough to witness the recital of the pothi by Smt. Vidya Tai Padwal that too in her unique style. She recites the entire pothi in “katha kathan” style which means she does voice modulations, expressions and enacting and transports you to the time you feel that these incidents are happening in front of your eyes. The voice pitch and the emotions she has when she enacts Gajanan Maharaj’s part are simply unbelievable and one gets goosebumps while listening to it. Be it Bankatlal’s bhakti filled voice, Patil brothers full of attitude words or even rude Jankiram Sonar’s voice before the chamatkar he witnessed, each character in the pothi comes out alive and really, this is a quality that Gajanan Maharaj has blessed her with.
Even while reciting there are some references in the pothi for which may not know the details. Some of them are Bayjabai’s Haldi vansh janam reference, Bandu Tatya’s treasure being found three feet under the ground and many more. I would urge you to attend the parayan to know more details.
Coming back to her style, like I said, the pothi and its 21 Chapters cover major happenings of Maharaj’s life and sometimes it is so scattered that you may have read the pothi many times but still struggle to recollect minute details and the chapter numbers and knowing it by heart and presenting it in a “katha-kathan” style which keeps the audience engrossed and hungry for more is a seva worth prostrating.
The energy she has, the love for Maharaj, the willingness to let people know more about the pothi and Maharaj, cannot be explained in words.
So, here is urging each and every one of you who know about Maharaj, wants to know who Maharaj is, wants to learn more about the pothi to attend the parayan either in your city or online.
Mark my words, you will be a different person when you step out of the parayan, thanking Vidya Tai and full of praise for her and more and more devoted to Maharaj. Jai Gajanan!!
